Art Nouveau is hard. It's no wonder the movement only lasted about ten years. I had grand visions for this piece, but I had a deadline to meet and the job didn't call for elaborate design work, so this is what I went with. Now, I am well aware of the fact that I am not worthy to cary Alphonse Mucha's dirty underwear (Not to mention the swath of other fabulously talented artists in the DA community...and who would want me digging around in their dirty laundry anyway?...I mean really). Still, with all that said, I am pretty pleased with the outcome. For those that care: this was all drawn traditionally in four parts. I then scanned the pieces in separately where they were assembled and colored in Photoshop6. My wife was a BIG help. This will be used for a movie poster for the Worcester Film Works.
Well, the original art was drawn separately. I drew each character and scanned them in, I drew the frame (sans ivy) and scanned that in as well. Once I did that, the project was completed in Photo Shop. So, I guess the original is on my computer. If you want the original artwork, you are welcome to them, my friend.
I'm not sure, Derek. There was talk of the WFW making prints to sell at the movie, but nothing was finalized (though I am fine with them doing so). If you'd like, I can email you a high rez copy.
